Don’t mock a Mockingbird
you know not why it jeers
don’t throw a pebble at the dog that barks
you know no what smells of foul
I know not a soul who will not hurt
upon a spearing word or a loathsome smirk
you will not know of a day
in someone else’s shoes
nor will you know the path they walked
to reach this point in life.
Judge not you foolish thing
judge not you fool
that you know how they feel.
