Peacock-ing: laying down the foundation

Ahh, the tedious hours of labour before the craft.
Getting the concept idea for a painting style? Brilliant!
Getting the craft knife and cutting stencil detail upon detail? Let’s just say my hand is a bit soar.

What am I doing? I’m layering the peacock’s pattern with texture so that it will look flat from a distance but the closer you get, you’ll start seeing the tiered pattern. That’s the plan.

Hopefully, the plan will work! It’s great in theory so far.
