Busy Bee

Unusually so, I’ve been very quite, more so preoccupied with other things beside my blog these past few weeks. It’s been something of a thing I’ve aspired to do, post entertaining, engaging or commentaries on writing and creative pieces. But it so turned out, that over the past few weeks my need to OCD over my blog has taken a well deserved back burner seat. For how long? I have absolutely no idea! …there, I’ve finally said it.

It’s such a relief to be able to finally admit that I might no longer suffer compulsive disorder, obsessing over the content of this blog.

Now to the main point, and it’s a great point.

Ever since 15th of February this year, I’ve found something else to obsess over. Lol! (Writers!)

I don’t know if many of you remember but I also have great interest in scriptwriting and filmmaking besides novels and poems, and I think on occasions I’ve vented that I’d like to get back into it. Well, I have now, sort of.

My current obsession is a short film I wrote the day after Valentines this year. And since then I’ve been a busy little bee getting that 7page script off the pages and into the moving form. THE CIRCLE. Yup, that’s the name I’ve been pouring my time over.

What have I been doing exactly? Well, here goes.
I’ve written the script, got few enthusiastic mates on board to help me produce and shoot it, have held auditions that was absolutely loved by the actors who fell in love with the script. Steve, one of my wonderful twitter friend also offered his composing skills for the film, so thanks to him, we also have great music already! (@StevieBoylan) And thanks to Kaufman’s Kalvakade, and Cory for shouting out to Steve in the first place!

We’ve also scouted the location and loved it, and now, we are fixing the shoot date and organizing the rehearsals!

What a way ‘The Circle’ has come from being written less than a month ago, to almost being shot! Can I say I’m absolutely stoked?! The most surprising thing so far has been to realize just how exciting, demanding, thrilling, and yet somewhat easy it has been to bring the project to such a crucial state already.

What’s ‘The Circle’ about? It’s about a group of actors who are regular attendees of an actors workshop, and at this particular session they try something they have never I done before, improvise. However, ‘it’s all fun and games, till someone screams’.

Now, I’m not going to reveal too much yet as the story is a suspense. You will love it! I swear.

Why? Because so far, everyone who has come across it have! Absolutely ‘fantastic’ it’s been deemed far too many times for me to count now. All I can say is, I can’t wait!

Please take a moment and follow me and my lovely cast and crew on our officially facebook page.

We want you to enjoy this filmmaking journey as much as we will. Oh, and we are soon to launch our Crowdfunding campaign, so any help whatsoever will be great in spreading the word.

Thanks heaps you lovely folks!!

Have a great Monday! (Aussie day)
